2000 / 01   -   Darren joined the club along with his younger brother Danny. He battled for a place alongside Barry Walpole and Max Blanch in the midfield all season and when called upon always gave 100% to the team. He was instrumental in the teams successful run to the Division One Cup beating favourites Knebworth in the final 3-1. 2001 / 02   -   Darren could not commit to the club at the startof the seasonand did not really start playing until after Christmas. With the team doing so well he found it hard to find a place in a very good side, but still turned up every week to give his support and encouragement. He made eleven appearances starts for the 1st team, six at sub, scoring the one goal. 2002 / 03   -   Darren made eight appearances, two as sub for the 1st team and the one appearance for the Reserves. He scored one goal and won two third place Man of the Match awards.
