Gary joined the club along with his great friends, Dave Hawkes,
Paul Gulvin and Jim Mannion from a top career at Much Hadham. He enjoyed Division One league honours
in his first season and was a starter in the Herts Junior cup final this same year. He was later
voted Manager's Player at the 1996 presentation evening. Gary was instrumental in the clubs successful campaign to win Premier league honours and Jubilee cup honours in 1997, making up a second consecutive league and cup double. The club miss Gary's enthusiasm, and he will always be remember for some of the things he got up to in goal, especially his trademark quote to his own players, " I don't believe you lot sometimes, your shit ". |
