Gary joined the club at the start of the 2001/02 season and has immediately slotted into the Centre Back position, pretty good considering the talent already around him when he attended pre-season training. He has already made the position his own, and has scored two good goals in only his first three games. Being so young he should progress quickly into an outstanding centre Back and retain his place all season.
