2000 / 01   -   Gary joined the club just before the halfway stage of the season and slotted straight into the centre back slot for the first team. He earned 1st team player's player accolades this very first season helping the club to the Division One cup final winning over a very fancied Knebworth 3-1. 2001 / 02   -   Gary returned to his old centre back slot for the whole of this season. Alongside Darren Enifer and Gary Murton they secured the team's great Division 1 league and cup double. He made 20 appearances for the 1st team, scoring 5 good goals. He also secured his second consecutive 1st team Player's Player award, a feat never done before in the club's history. 2002 / 03   -   Gary made just eight appearances for the club, choosing to play a higher standard of football after just a few games. But he did return towards the end of the season, earning one Man of the Match award and one second placed award, he also scored the odd goal.
