1999 / 00   -   Ian was moved from the left side of midfield as his maturity and understanding of the game developed, and was given the arduous task of controlling the midfield as a holding player.

He immediately installed confidence in the players around him at this position with his compelling work rate, and has since earned applause from all the players in the team for his willingness to learn the game and make himself better with the new experienced players around him.

2000 / 01   -   He proved just how popular he is by winning the most coveted honour of Reserve Team Player's Player at the 2001 presentation evening, and narrowly missed out on another honour, Manager's Player of the season.

2001 / 02   -   Ian teamed up with Neil Sharpless at the start of this season and between them surely made up the best midfield in Division 3. It took them only until the end of September to gel and it was from these two players that the rest of the team's play started.

He started 19 times for the reserves scoring just 4 goals, but it was his work rate in midfield which shone through the most. He was actually quoted as saying that he was bored in Division 3.

2002 / 03   -   Ian started once again for the Reserves' making nine appearances, missing just one game before the team folded. He scored one goal in these games and was awarded Man of the Match honours in one game with two third places.

Ian joined the 1st team after the Reserves folded at the bequest of then manager Barry Walpole. He made five appearances for the team, won Man of the Match honours in one and a third place in two others. He scored one goal for the team, a gem that was rumoured to easily win the goal of the season award.
