Jim joined the club after a very successful career with Much Hadham, along with friends Paul Gulvin, Gary Ascough and Dave Hawkes. He won league and cup double honours and was a starter this same season in the Herts. Junior cup final starting in midfield alongside Darren Stickland.

1996 / 97

Jim was a very large part of the club's surge though to Premier league and Jubilee cup honours this season. Jim was a no nonsense footballer, he was tough, he was aggressive, but always very fair. He took no prisoners whilst on the field, he gave and expected 110% from all those around him.

Jim still comes down to watch whoever is playing at home and takes a great interest in the young players coming through the reserves squad.
