Joe, a founder member of the club was part of the big three that
first came up with the idea of forming the club. Along with Darren Rowley and Gerry Brislin, he put
together an outstanding team that enjoyed four league and cup doubles in the same number of seasons.
He was co manager with Darren Rowley the season the club won it's highest honour, the Herts.
Junior Cup over favourites Bennington 3-0 in 1996.
He took the team through four divisions in four
years, winning four league titles, two divisional cup finals, a jubilee cup final and of course the
Herts. Junior Cup final.
He retired at the top with the team firmly established in the Premier
league. Joe is still seen at games and is heard repeatedly saying "It's not like the old days
anymore!!" and "Get hold of the game ref!!".
