1999 / 00   -   Matt was part of the group that joined the club shortly into his sixteenth year. He slotted straight into the left back slot, an alien position for him at the time but proved he was adept with his football skills and kept this position for two full seasons. 2000 / 01   -   He earned accolades as a striker for a while, but then struggled to get back his old left back position with the influx of new players coming into the squad. 2001 / 02   -   Matt struggled to find a place in the team, such was the talent around him, but he persisted and showed great commitment at all times. He made eight appearances, twelve as sub, scoring four goals to help the team to a winning Division 3 league campaign. 2002 / 03   -   Matt made seven appearances, two as sub, earning a third place Man of the Match honour in one. He was undecided on what to do when the Reserves folded in January 2003, but did make three appearances for the 'A team.
